Time: 6:30 - 9:00 pm

Location: HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union (1259 A'ala Street, Honolulu)

This workshop will open with a brief overview of dyslexia, including discussion of signs (“symptoms”) of dyslexia, how reading disabilities affect learning, and how appropriate teaching
and intervention can help dyslexic children and other struggling readers.

Then attendees will rotate through learning stations which simulate various language-related tasks similar to those encountered in the classroom and workplace (for example, reading out loud in class, or taking a sales order from a customer).
